Coordinate measuring machine
Model
-
Marking: Mitutoyo Euro-C 7106
-
The nameplate also states Model FAL-710, Model No. 4011M-3213 .
-
Manufacturer: Mitutoyo Corporation, Japan
Function
A CMM is used for very accurate 3D measurement of objects. The machine uses a probe (often from Renishaw, as you can see in your pictures) to sense different points on a workpiece and build an accurate digital representation of its shape and dimensions. It is mainly used for quality control in manufacturing, engineering and research.
